Mission of Nursing:
To impart the highest quality nursing education and specialized nursing for the benefit of individuals, families, and community, as well as society.
The Nursing Program awards a Bachelor Degree in Nursing upon successful completion of a curriculum based on high international and national standards. This leads to graduating competent and qualified nurses to meet the market and community demand while maintaining the Islamic identity and traditions of the society
BMC has a modern and well-equipped nursing laboratory resembling a hospital environment with virtual training manikins. This enables students to learn & practice the many nursing skills prior to interacting with real patients in the clinical training.
The Nursing Program extends for four years of theoretical courses, practical, and clinical training. This is followed by one year of internship which facilitates an easy transition from the academic level to employment level.
Community services such as administering vaccines are a vital part of the curriculum. Nursing students are highly motivated and encouraged to participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and activities. The BMC nursing students organized and performed in a major Nurses Day production at BMC in May, 2012. They also won first place in a Nursing Competition held at the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center on April 3, 2012.
