Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Being a university graduate… Would I be admitted to your medical program without going through FAST and the evaluation examination?

Answer: No. The examination is an evaluation in order for us to place you appropriately in the level that suits you. FAST is a preparatory program to properly build the foundation of the student for the all medical majors. However, students that pass the evaluation examination are entitled to skip FAST and go right into the major.

 

Q2.How long does the program take?

Answer: Every program has a corresponding duration; please click here for more information.

 

Q3.What's the deadline for accepting admission applications?

Answer: We close registration a month after the starting date of the new academic year (i.e. 26 October 2009). Please click here for more information.

 

ot;>Q4. I am an international student living in Riyadh. I have completed my O levels and I have studied medicine abroad for one year. Do I qualify to continue my degree in your respectable university?

Answer: Yes, you are eligible to be admitted however you need to take the academic evaluation test to be exempted from the foundation year.

 

Q5. I would like to inquire about the possibility of transferring to Batterjee Medical College. I am a medical student in my 4th year. I have completed IGCSE and As-level (4 A's). Is it possible for me to get transferred into the Batterjee Medical College?

Answer: Yes, it is possible for you to be admitted however you have to pass the academic evaluation test.

 

Q6. Hello, I was wondering if the BMC will offer any scholarship competition like 'Al Fursan' in the near future?

Answer: Yes, we are planning to offer another scholarship competition. You may frequently check our website to know when the competition will be announced. For other scholarship programs please click here for more information.

 

Q7. Do you offer any post graduation programs in your college?

Answer: No, we do not offer any post graduate programs for now but hopefully in the future we will. Please visit our website on a regular bases for any updates on this matter. In the meantime, check our offered programs in the Academic section.

 

Q8. Can you please provide me with the details to join the medical program?

Q9. I am an international female student living in Riyadh and I am currently doing my A level with subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Biology. I would like to know if there is any opportunity for me to study MBBS in your Medical College with a scholarship.

Answer: Yes, BMC opens its doors to national and international students for both female and male. Also, the Batterjee Medical College offers grants for top academic score students. In addition to that, the BMC offers the Shaik AbdulJalil Scholarship program which is offered to the top academic students after the Deans approval. Q10. If my mode of education is British as I have studied in English medium school for 12 years and I have done O levels and currently I am doing A levels, do I still need to take the TOEFL exam?

Answer: Your mode of education is appreciated in BMC as we already have German Professors (same mode) so it will be easier for you to understand the material. After the completion of A levels you can skip the foundation year by passing the evaluation exam. However TOEFL is required but could be taken within the first two years of joining the BMC.
