3 years & counting: BMC commemorates 3-years of an Empowering Student Dental Club: JADES

JADES

JADES, a pioneering dental student of Batterjee Medical College, celebrated its 3rd anniversary on 28th November, 2011. Among the esteem attendees were Dean of BMC Dr.Khaled Batterjee & Dean of Dentistry Prof.Dr.Ibrahem Hashish.

The meeting started with the recitation of Quran. After that the JADES President Taha Masud talked about how and why JADES evolved and also congratulated the club for getting recognized by the Ministry of Health as a club in Jeddah who can do Community service in schools. After that a presentation on Oral Hygiene and its relation with the heart by D2 leader Khadija Mustafa. All the department heads talked about their activities like Research Department, Media Department, Community Service e.t.c. Also the club showed a documentary video made by Jades members. This was followed by Dento-Genius, an educational game between three boys and three girls which was won by the girls. In the end both Dr.Khalid Batterjee and Prof.Dr.Ibrahim Hashish said some complementary words for the club & hoped that this club's achievements would encourage other students to take the initiative to form such empowering platforms in the near future.
