In the framework of strengthening strategic partnerships set up by Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology with a number of well-known academic institutions and universities worldwide, BMC hosted an academic delegation from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands.
Dr. Hassan Shaibah, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs said: "This visit comes within the framework of mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences in order to enhance and assure quality in academic curriculums. The delegation will review and quest to perfect the Medicine Program.
Dr. Khaled Batterjee, Vice President of the Board of Trustees, said that BMC is seeking academic excellence in education and research, according to the international standards and is working to achieve that through the development and modernization of programs to enrich the academic experience. For that purpose, BMC cooperates with a number of universities and colleges around the world.
Eng. Sobhi Batterjee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees revealed that the college will continue to assure quality and accreditation in all its programs and academic plans. He also said that continual review is a mean and quality is an endless process and this is what we are striving to achieve in order to cooperate with the generous effort and support provided by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The Batterjee Medical College and all its staff expresses its sincere condolences to the Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Crown Prince Naif of Saudi Arabia and the Al Saud family, customers, government and people of Saudi Arabia, calling on Allah to grant the deceased rest in peace and eternal peace and grant the royal family in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people, patience and fortitude.
Prince Mishal Opens Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology
His Royal Highness Prince Mishal Bin Majed , Governor of Jeddah , opened Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology headquarter located in Abhor in North Jeddah . His Royal Highness Prince Turki Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz , President of Presidency of Meteorology and Environment was present on the occasion . Eng. Sobhi Batterjee , the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Batterjee Medical College for Science and Technology explained that up until now , 2500 male and female students enrolled in the college . Females make up 60%of the student body .Half of them enrolled in the college through country’s scholarship awarded to them under the internal scholarship program. The Ministry of Education pays their tuition fees. He indicated that the college contains several departments including: Department of Nursing, Department of Radiology and Department of Dental. He pointed out that the completion of college building will cost approximately one Billion Saudi Riyal. At the end of the ceremony, Prince Mishal wished all success for all enrolled students in the interest of the homeland and the citizens.
Batterjee Medical College for Sciences & Technology held the Second Session of its Board of Trustees (BoT) on Oct 19, 2011, in the presence of all the members headed by Engineer Sobhi Abdul Jalil Batterjee, the Chairman of the BoT and Chairman of Saudi German Hospitals Group. The Dean of the college Dr. Khalid Batterjee gave a detailed overview about work progress for 2011.
