The large delegation of businessmen, businesswomen, health care professionals & higher education professionals from Finland paid a visit to the Batterjee Medical College for Sciences and Technology in Jeddah on November21, 2011.
A delegation from the Switzerland visited Batterjee Medical College for Sciences and Technology on December 03, 2011. The group included heads of Swiss universities as well as businessmen interested in higher education & health care.
Batterjee Medical College for Sciences & Technology is dedicated to the advancement and promotion of empowering platforms. Under this mission College was proud to play host to TEDx Youth on December 29, 2011 with an audience of over 500 people. BMC was a perfect match for this year's TEDx Youth-Jeddah event since all of the elements of its Event's theme "Play, Learn, Build, Share" are being experienced on ground in the institution.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, an International body TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDx Youth- Jeddah was also an extension of that. This TEDx effort was being undertaken volunteers, students, professionals and folks wishing to make a difference.
Batterjee Medical College for Sciences & Technology as a continuation of its mission of advancement and promotion of empowering platforms, hosted Microsoft's Annual Conference on February 15, 2012 in its Sheikh Abdul Jaleel Auditorium. Nearly 1200 student participants from all over Jeddah attended this mega event which was dubbed as "Microsoft Mega Meeting". This conference was a gathering of like-minded & passionate young minds that all have one interest in common, TECHNOLOGY!
This initiative was jointly supported by Microsoft Saudi Technology Clubs, a technical community for students to share knowledge, participate in tech-events and enhance their skills. This community is run by Microsoft Student Partners in Saudi Arabia and it is open for everyone to join.
BMC's HR department in Collaboration with IT department launched an Online for its staff on February 07, 2012 in a grand ceremony. More than 100 staff & faculty members attended the session with great zeal & excitement. All of the College's staff were later given an orientation regarding the HR portal in College's e-lab. This HR Portal contains a series of online learning course followed by quizzes. After successful completion of these course modules, staff shall be awarded with certificates. This portal is further complemented by an online library of Audio & E-books
