Admission

The Student Affairs at the Batterjee Medical College is a complete educational experience through programs, services, living experiences, supports, challenges, leadership, volunteers, career development and personal growth.

Future Students

Terms and rules of admission:

Batterjee Medical College accepts students who meet the following conditions:

  1. Holders of the secondary school certificate, or equivalent, with no less than a Cumulative average of 80%.Completes the admission requirements approved by the Council of the Batterjee Medical College, and which is in accordance with the laws and Regulations of the organization of private universities
  2. The student should have the certificate of good conduct.
  3. The student should not exceed the age of 28 years.
  4. Pay the registration fees which is non-refundable in addition to the other expenses.

 

PLEASE NOTE: International Students would pay the full tuition fee of the particular Academic year if they want to get Student Visa from BMC.

The College does not accept students who have been expelled from other Universities. The high school certificate of the student(s) should not be older than 5 years at the time of registration in BMC.

Students who hold an international certificate (GCE, IGCE, IBT, SAT, American High School Diploma…) should secure the equivalence for their degree from the Ministry of Higher Education in Saudi Arabia, This certificate of equivalence will state that the Degree held by the candidate is equivalent to the Saudi Secondary School Certificate. A necessary requirement for registration is that the student has completed 12 years of Scholastic education (i.e.: finished grade 12 of schooling).

PLEASE NOTE: Securing the equivalence is the responsibility of the student. To get Equivalence from the Ministry of Higher Education, they need 5 O-levels and 1 A level, or 5 O levels and 2 AS levels. Only for International Certificate holders.

All Students should pass the TOEFL exam any time before the 2nd year of admission date. The score should be as mentioned in below chart. If the student did not submit the TOEFL exam, BMC will would not allow the student to get the college services.

Note: Student(s) who have already TOEFL, IELTS or STEP with same marks mentioned below is exempted.

Students who hold Saudi Secondary School certificate (literature section or sharia’h), can only join the faculties of Health Administration.

Future Students

Multiple organizations and individual sponsors can make written agreements with BMC regarding sponsoring the tuitions of a student based on specific conditions agreed upon by all participating parties.

Some sponsors are considered as permanent sponsors like:

  • Al Fursan (BMC scholarship competition on www.bmc.edu.sa )
  • The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE)
  • Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF)

If all or part of the tuition is paid by a sponsor (whether this sponsor is an institution, the government, or an individual sponsor), an invoice, original or copy, a fax, or an e-mail must be presented to the Registration Office as a proof of payment.

If the sponsor(s), for any reason, fails to pay the tuition fee, the student must pay all the fees and tuitions not covered or paid by the sponsor(s) within the due dates printed on the students’ bills.

FAST (Foundation Year for Science and Technology) Upgrading: Following is the criteria to join Majors after graduating from FAST:

 

  • Medicine Top 100 to 120 students in FAST
  • Dentistry 2nd Top 80 to 100 Students in FAST
  • All other Majors Opened (As per College Council decision and based on required number of student per major)

 

Note: The College Council has the right to change the above decision according to the intake of BMC, and determine the number of student in each major.

 

Bridging Students

Bridging Students (Diploma Degree Student Admission)

The registration of the Bridging students is as follows;

The student must submit the following original documents for registration:

  1. Diploma Certificate
  2. Academic Transcript
  3. Saudi Council Exam certificate
  4. High school certificate
  5. TOEFL as per MOHE requirement

After initial acceptance in registration office, the student must go through the bridging

 

Evaluation exam and follow the following:

 

  1. Every student must pay for Bridging Exam fee
  2. After evaluation, Program Dean would fill the Bridging evaluation form in order to proceed registration.
  3. Student must bring his/her original certificates after acceptance in the program along with registration fee and must follow the rules of admission.

The registration of the diploma degree student will be after evaluation exam and according to MOHE, they should have TOEFEL exam as follows:

The registration of the diploma degree student will be after evaluation exam and according to MOHE, they should have TOEFEL exam as follows:Upon completion of the registration the student will sign the following undertaking:

  1. The student must get NOC for studding in BMC if he/she is working in any company.
  2. The student is responsible for the program he/she is join in, and will be responsible for all of his/her dues
  3. The student will not study the part which he/she bypassed through bridging evaluation.
  4. The student will only pay the tuition fee of those semester/years which are remaining.
  5. The student must secure the accreditation of his/her certificates from ministry of higher education and from the Saudi Council for Health Specialties certificate.
  6. The student will be charged accordingly for violation of any BMC policy.
