Colleges & Programs

Mission of FAST program:

To provide high quality education of international standard to our students in order to build a motivated character equipped to face global challenges while maintaining our Islamic values.

All Bachelor Degree Programs at BMC except Nursing and Healthcare Administration begin with the Foundation Year or FAST (Foundation Academy for Sciences & Technology).

This year includes two terms that offer the mandatory courses listed below which are intended to prepare students to meet the challenges of their future major.

  • Human Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • English
  • Arabic
  • Islamic Medical Ethics

The Foundation Year recognizes that certain students need more intensive English in order to proceed to their major. Students are placed in different levels. The students with low language skills are given additional English courses and their Foundation Year might be stretched with a summer semester based on their needs.

After the successful completion of the Foundation Year, students will enter one of several medical programs offered at BMC according to their grades and preference.

Students holding a secondary school certificate in Arts or Shari’a are limited to entering the Healthcare Administration Program only which does not require the Foundation Year.

International school students may bypass the Foundation Year if they pass a comprehensive extra-curricular examination.

FAST students are very active in frequent extracurricular activities and an annual Science Fair.
